As part of our general philosophy, we like to inform our future clients of what to expect for each type of shot we service.
The shoot process varies depending on the type of shoot being performed. Please select a shot type below for details regarding a standard shoot of that type.
The process for headshots is very straight forward, with the first component being the location of the shot.
Our standard package is for shots at one of our many studio locations, so the backdrop and lighting will already be set up. If we were asked to perform at a location other than our studio, we would just need 30 minutes prior to the scheduled shoot to setup lighting and backdrop.
Once the location is setup, you would simply need to arrive at the scheduled time, which can vary depending if hair and makeup is needed, but if that is the case then your call time would include required time for hair and makeup.
Once you have arrived at the required time, Bo will work with you to make sure you’re in the best pose for the shot you’re needing. Feel free to share an idea you have in mind, or simply let Bo, the professional, set you up for a great headshot.

Boudoir photos…the pictures every woman wants but most are too nervous to actually take! It's usually not about the money….it's about being comfortable. The process for boudoir photoshoots is a fun one! Whether the shoot is for your spouse, significant other or even just for you, boudoir photo-shoots are meant for you to look stunning and feel simply beautiful and comfortable.
Typically we host our boudoir sessions in a hotel suite, but if you have a familiar environment like a house or apartment that you’d like to use, we're mobile with studio lighting! Again, it’s all about getting awesome shots and having fun.
Bo will talk details with you and get your input on all aspects of the shoot… because although he’s the professional, this is still your shoot.
It’s important he capture not only what he sees and knows looks great, but also the little things, the personal things, that he may not know but you want to capture in your pictures.
From hair and makeup to wardrobe to location to posing…it’s a lot. We know that. That’s why you hire us though! Bo’s excited to talk about your shoot! He’s excited to help you plan your outfits and looks…you can go from a natural look with cute beach hair with an off the shoulder sweater to a deep smokey look with moussed hair in a cute lingerie set and a sultry look…ALL in the same shoot! 🙂

And posing…everyone is different. Different styles, body types, different looks and different perceptions of themselves…all of which are welcome and workable! He’ll make sure to avoid the features you’re less excited about and make sure to pose you to accentuate what you are excited about.
Once onsite, you’ll sit with hair and makeup to start the first look while chatting with the makeup artist and Bo a little more about how fun the shoot is going to be and before you know it you will be in front of the camera, comfortable and making great images.

The process for fitness photo-shoots is a fun one! All the hard work you’ve put in is looking good and it’s time to capture it!
We work with a couple of different gyms in the area if that’s the look you’re going for, but we can also shoot in studio or at one of Kansas City’s many outdoor locations.
Bo will talk details with you and get all your input on all aspects of the shoot…because although he’s the professional, this is still your shoot. It’s important he capture not only what he sees and knows looks great, but also the things you’ve been working on and may want to focus.

Engagement (Save-the-Date) pictures are those that are just fun! With love being in the air and tons of ideas to get some really beautiful pictures, these sessions are some of Bo’s favorites to shoot! The process for engagement photos is a little different in the fact there are at least 2 people involved and there’s a specific use/need/place for the final pictures.
Bo will chat with you and make sure all details of the shoot are thought out, discussed and clarified. From a simple session at a park with props to something more in depth at a restaurant to posing near a light post downtown…engagement sessions differ as much as people do.
Once you have arrived at the required time, Bo will work with you to make sure you’re getting the shots you’ve talked about. Feel free to share an idea you have in mind or simply let Bo, the professional, set you up for a couple of great and unique poses.

Maternity shoots are another fun genre of shoots that Bo loves to do! So much energy and potential for cool pictures, the possibilities are endless!
Standard packaging includes consultation regarding location, theme, concepts and any necessary planning time to make sure you’re set for your shoot! Tons of different directions to go in, ranging from fun, bright and colorful to more traditional, we can accommodate. If you want to include your significant other or children, we can do that too! Again, we’re here to make sure you’re beyond satisfied with your images! Help us help you do that 🙂

Senior pictures with Bo is a session you’re sure to remember!
Outside the box and always making the session fun, Bo will get the shots you’re needing to make sure mom has the pictures she needs and you still have the fun ones you want to give your friends! Let’s be honest, this is your parent’s day just as much as it is yours, so we’ll work together to make sure eeeereryone is happy with the final images and you have an awesome experience shooting with a glamour photographer!
You’ll talk locations, themes, concepts and wardrobe. All of which are important and will make your session that much better. Have ideas ready and Bo will go over those with you as well, and help make sure those ideas come together. And if you don’t have a lot of ideas, THAT’S OK…ideas are one thing Bo doesn’t run out of!
